The 70th running of the Macau GP (+ Google calendar of schedule)

For the first time in 10 years the Macau GP is run over two weekends again, with the first races taking place this weekend. And the important FIA F3 World Cup and the FIA GT World Cup will race next weekend and also the Motorcycle Grand Prix.
I have made a Google calendar with the complete schedule, which you can find down below.
The Macau GP is one of the only two current national Grand Prix events that are not part of the Formula One World Championship, the New Zealand GP being the other one.
History
The first running of the race was held in 1954 as a club race for local motor enthusiasts. It initially started off as an endurance race where 15 entrants competed in a four hour race over 51 laps.
In 1960 the race was first entered on the international racing calendar, and was subject for the first time to the regulations published by the FIA for sports and grand touring cars.
In 1978 to celebrate the race's 25th anniversary, a "Race of Giants" was organised. Where drivers like Jacky Ickx, Sir Stirling Moss, Bobby Unser, Phil Hill and Sir Jack Brabham participated.
In 1983 the race was first run as the FIA Formula 3 World Cup. Which was won by a young Ayrton Senna.
In 1998 Peter Dumbreck won the closest ever Macau Grand Prix - and the closest motor race in history at that time - when he beat Ricardo Mauricio by just 0.003 seconds.

Format
As mentioned, the event will be run over two weekends. This is not the usual format but done for its 70th anniversary.
The past years the GT World Cup and The F3 World Cup weren't run because of Covid, this meant the main race was run with F4 cars. And mainly local drivers participated. This year F3 returns with an international field but Formula 4 stays.
FIA F3 World Cup
In 1983 the race was first run as the FIA Formula 3 World Cup. The Formula 3 race used to be more of an all-star race for drivers from several Formula 3 championships or even from other high profile championships.
But recently the FIA has reduced the Formula 3 championships so FIA F3 is the only major one to exist. This means it can now basically been seen as a non championship round for the FIA F3 championships.
This year however, still several drivers have stepped down again to F3 to participate. Formula E Driver Dan Ticktum, is a two-time winner of the event and has returned. Richard Verschoor, Formula 2 driver and the last winner of the event back in 2019 returns. But also IndyCar driver Marcus Armstrong joins the field.
Sophia Floersch also returns to the race to be there for the third time, during her debut she suffered a massive crash where she suffered a spinal fracture.
Formula 4
The Formula 4 SEA Championship runs from 11-12 November and will feature three female drivers. Vivian Siu, Miki Koyama and Bianca Bustamante. Vivian Siu is the only one of these to drive the complete F4 Sea championship this year. The Macau round however, is a non-championship round.
Formula 4 runs qualifying from 08:45 - 09:15 (CEST) on Saturday 11 November and their qualifying race from 01:00 - 01:25 (CEST). And they close the weekend with their main race from 08:40 - 09:20 (CEST)
TCR & GT
Several regional TCR and GT series race on the streets of Macau during the two Macau weekends. The first TCR race at Macau was held in 1972, and this was rare as TCR cars rarely raced at street circuits. Currently it's the final round of the China TCR Championship.
Motorcycle GP
Macau is a special event for motorcycle riders and has been since 1967. Their main race is on Saturday 18 November.
GT World Cup
The Macau GT Cup was added in 2008, and has been one of the most important supporting races of the Grand Prix since then.
The FIA GT World Cup is a race for GT3-spec cars organised by the SRO. This year it will be the sixth edition of the FIA GT World Cup.

O Circuito Internacional de Vila Real integra o calendário de 2025 da TCR World Tour, a competição herdeira da Taça do Mundo de carros de turismo (WTCR), extinta em 2022, anunciou a Federação Internacional do Automóvel (FIA).

O Conselho Mundial da FIA, reunido no Ruanda, aprovou os diversos calendários mundiais do desporto automóvel, incluindo Vila Real como a quarta das oito provas desta competição, em 05 e 06 de julho.
Este campeonato arranca em 02 e 03 de maio, no México, e passa ainda por Espanha (14 e 15 de junho, em Valência), Itália (21 e 22 de junho, em Monza), Portugal, Austrália (12 e 14 de setembro), Coreia do Sul (18 e 19 de outubro), China (01 e 02 de novembro) e Macau (13 a 16 de novembro).
Em comunicado, a autarquia transmontana anunciou, ainda, o regresso do Campeonato de Portugal de Velocidade às ruas de Vila Real.
“Adicionalmente, regressará a Vila Real em 2025 o CPV – Campeonato Portugal Velocidade, onde encontramos algumas das mais excitantes máquinas e pilotos que disputam provas automobilistas em Portugal e em Espanha. Este campeonato, que junta carros GT4 e TCR, apresenta a melhor grelha dos últimos anos, onde pontuam marcas como Aston Martin, Porsche, Audi, BMW ou Mercedes AMG”, lê-se.
Além destes dois regressos, Vila Real continuará a contar com o Campeonato Portugal Velocidade Clássicos e também com uma prova de Clássicos Pré-guerra.
O 54º Circuito Internacional decorre nos dias 04, 05 e 06 de julho, no ano em que a cidade de Vila Real assinalará o seu centenário.
Além das corridas, estão previstos concertos musicais e festivais gastronómicos.
O presidente da Câmara, Rui Santos, considera que “felizmente tem sido possível organizar anualmente um evento magnífico, homenageando a grande marca que são as corridas de Vila Real”.
“Em 2025 voltará a ser assim, com o esforço de todos os parceiros envolvidos, mas tentando ir ainda mais longe, já que se assinalam os 100 anos da cidade de Vila Real”, sublinhou.
Já José Silva, da Associação Promotora do Circuito Internacional de Vila Real, admitiu “algumas limitações” pelo facto de ser um circuito citadino, mas “o colorido e o entusiasmo do público tornam Vila Real um local mágico, onde todos querem estar”.
O presidente da Federação Portuguesa de Automobilismo e Karting (FPAK), Ni Amorim, mostrou-se “muito satisfeito por ter no Circuito Internacional de Vila Real, em 2025, o Kumho FIA TCR World Tour, um campeonato do mundo que proporciona corridas ímpares e que vai abrilhantar uma prova única em Portugal”.
“Estamos certos de que pilotos e equipas vão adorar competir em Vila Real da mesma forma que o público vai adorar receber estes pilotos e equipas", afirmou.
Além do calendário de TCR, foi ratificada a data do Rali de Portugal (15 a 18 de maio). Ainda nos ralis, Portugal perdeu as provas do Campeonato Europeu, vendo, em contrapartida, duas provas no Troféu Europeu, o Terras D’Aboboreira (01 a 03 de maio) e o Vinho Madeira (31 de julho a 02 de agosto).
Fafe acolhe a última ronda do Campeonato Europeu de Históricos de Ralis, em 07 e 08 de novembro.
No todo-o-terreno, Portugal mantém-se no calendário, com o Rali Raid BP Ultimate, de 22 a 28 de setembro, quarta das cinco rondas do Campeonato do Mundo da especialidade.
Portalegre será a sexta das oito rondas da Taça do Mundo de Bajas, de 23 a 25 de outubro, que será também a ronda final do Europeu de Bajas (que passa pela Baja Sharish, de 12 a 14 de setembro).
A Rampa da Falperra integra o Europeu de Montanha como a terceira das 11 provas e Foz Coa recebe as últimas provas dos Europeus de Cross Car e Autocrosse.
O Oeiras Eco Rally e o Eco Rally Madeira integram a Taça FIA de ecoRallies, para carros elétricos.

Frédéric Vervisch und das Comtoyou Team Audi Sport feierten mit Audi Sport customer racing auf dem Slovakiaring den siebten Sieg des Audi RS 3 LMS im WTCR – FIA-Tourenwagen-Weltcup. Am dritten Rennwochenende der Saison 2019 gelang dem Belgier im ersten Rennen von Platz neun auf feuchter Strecke ein starker Start. Noch in der ersten Runde überholte er sieben Konkurrenten. In einem sehenswerten Kampf schob er sich in Runde fünf am Führenden vorbei. So gelang Vervisch sein zweiter WTCR-Sieg, nachdem er im Vorjahr beim Finale in Macau erstmals gewonnen hatte. Zusammen mit den Ergebnissen der drei übrigen Audi Sport-Piloten gelang der Marke somit das bislang erfolgreichste Wochenende in der FIA WTCR in diesem Jahr. Mit 74 Punkten sammelten alle Fahrer insgesamt einen Zähler mehr als beim Auftakt in Marokko.
„Frédéric Vervisch und das gesamte Team von Jean-Michel Baert haben eine eindrucksvolle Leistung gezeigt – herzlichen Glückwunsch“, sagte Chris Reinke, Leiter Audi Sport customer racing. „Neben dem ersten Saisonsieg freuen wir uns auch über die Leistungen der anderen drei Audi Sport-Piloten. Erstmals haben alle unsere Fahrer an einem Wochenende Punkte eingefahren. Sehr erfreulich ist dabei die kontinuierliche Steigerung von Niels Langeveld.“
Ähnlich wie Vervisch gelang Jean-Karl Vernay im ersten Rennen ein guter Start. Der Franzose aus dem Leopard Racing Team Audi Sport verbesserte sich vom siebten Startplatz auf Position vier. Sein Teamkollege Gordon Shedden kam vom 16. Platz bis auf Rang zwölf vor. Niels Langeveld vom Comtoyou Team Audi Sport fiel nach der harten Attacke eines Gegners in der ersten Runde mit anschließendem Ausritt ins Kiesbett von Platz 15 bis ans Ende des Feldes zurück. Danach bewies er exzellenten Kampfgeist, holte neun Plätze auf und sammelte so seinen ersten Weltcup-Punkt. Das zweite Rennen beendete er auf Platz acht und war damit zum ersten Mal bester Audi Sport-Pilot in diesem Jahr. Sehr gut schließlich lief es für den Niederländer im dritten Rennen: Vom siebten Startplatz arbeitete sich der 31 Jahre alte Rennfahrer in einem hart umkämpften Rennen bis auf die vierte Position vor.
Neben Langeveld war Gordon Shedden der einzige weitere Audi Sport-Pilot, der in allen drei Rennen Punkte sammelte. Besonders herausfordernd waren dabei für den Schotten ebenso wie für seinen Teamkollegen Jean-Karl Vernay aus dem Leopard Racing Team Audi Sport die ungünstigen Startpositionen, nachdem eine rasch abtrocknende Strecke im zweiten Qualifying für unstete Bedingungen gesorgt hatte. Im zweiten Rennen konnten sich beide Fahrer deutlich nach vorn arbeiten: Vernay fuhr von Platz 19 auf Rang zwölf vor, Shedden von Position 22 auf Platz 13. Im dritten Rennen holte der Schotte sieben Plätze auf und erreichte Platz 15, während Vernay ausfiel.
Den Teams bleibt nur wenig Zeit, um die Rennwagen für den nächsten Einsatz vorzubereiten. Schon am nächsten Wochenende startet der WTCR – FIA-Tourenwagen-Weltcup im niederländischen Zandvoort. Das vierte von zehn Rennwochenenden ist das Heimspiel für Niels Langeveld, der nur 25 Kilometer von der Strecke entfernt aufwuchs.
